Country Music Television is the recipient of the Harris Wofford Media Award. CMT One Country, a pro-social initiative launched in the fall of 2005, promotes civic participation and inspires CMT viewers to take action to bring about important change in their communities.
One Country partnered with YSA's Global Youth Service Day for the past two years, enlisting high profile spokespersons such as recording artists Diana DeGarmo and Taylor Swift to mobilize youth participation. CMT donated funds to charities chosen by the 2008 CMT Music Awards winners and was recently recognized as "Media Partner of the Year" by America's Second Harvest.
