About Jordyn Schara

Jordyn is a sophomore at Reedsburg Area High School in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. She has organized various service projects to provide care packages to our troops serving overseas, respond to flooding in her community, and promote youth literacy through a series of comic book fairs. Jordyn has received countless accolades and awards, including Youth Service America’s Everyday Young Hero Award, for her WI P2D2 (Wisconsin Prescription Pill and Drug Disposal) project, which is the first teen-created, self-sustainable, drug-collection and safe-disposal program in the world. Recently, Jordyn has started her first 501(c)3 non-profit, Foundation HOPE (Helping Our Peers Excel), which will recognize, educate and inspire youth to grow by utilizing community service and volunteerism as tools to encourage them to make a difference in the world.
